I have been proudly framing my friend, Mitchell Henderson’s, art for 3 years. It is an honor to work with him and frame his amazing art. This frame is an example of a laminated frame. There are many different styles that can be achieved by lamination. The styles of the frames will evolve with time and we are open to try new things. We have made frames from over 20 different species of wood and we can select from over 200 different species as available. Leveraging this along with being handmade produces a totally unique item. Completely domestic in its making and 100 percent domestic in over half of the items we make. There are an endless number of options available with the respect to wood species and matting. the framed works will also include glass, shims and spacers, dust cover, and hanging hardware. This framing of the court house in Pender County is one of the Artists favorite framing jobs. Extra attention is given to matching the right colors to make the colors stand out and grab the viewers attention. This configuration actually calls for 2 mattes. The gray matte in this photo is actually an overlay on the blue matte. With this approach to framing it makes the color combinations for matting seem endless.
